I have read the service manual and checked everything I can without hooking up gauges (I do not have any r404a to replace what I lose by hooking up gauges and I don't have stubby gauges).
Here is what I found: Compressor outlet temp 130F Condenser outlet temp 114F Hot gas valve is cooler at inlet than the compressor outlet-so I think it is OK From the condenser, the outlet the tubing runs through the same insulation as the return line from the evaporator to the compressor, where high side tubing comes out of the insulation and goes to the expansion valve, the tubing is much cooler than the 114F it went into the insulation at.
