So, cut to 23rd of November 2012, Paddington Station, rush hour, Friday night.
The noise and the busy crowds were overwhelming when combined with the sheer anticipation of meeting for the first time.
Those were my last few seconds of being just me and he being him, we were about to become “us”. We walked into each other’s’ arms and after so much anticipation and longing our old lives melted away. Since then there have been many, many moments as wonderful as those first few minutes on the station platform.
